absorvia is made by Truffle Techs L.L.C-FZ. This page explains how to delete the data absorvia holds, and what happens to each kind of data when you do.
Most of your data never leaves your phone
Your thoughts are stored on your device. absorvia has no account and no login, so there is no profile to close. Deleting the data on your device removes the writing itself.
Delete everything from inside the app
- Open absorvia.
- Tap the settings icon at the top left of the capture screen.
- Scroll to the section named DATA.
- Tap Delete All Data.
- Confirm when the app asks.
This erases every thought, every reflection, every category and every setting stored on the device. It cannot be undone, so export first if you want a copy. Export Thoughts sits directly above the delete option and saves your writing as a file you keep.
Uninstalling absorvia also removes the app’s on-device data.
Turning off reflections
If you switched reflections on, the single thought you chose to reflect on was sent to our backend and to OpenAI to generate that one line. You can switch reflections off at any time in Settings under INTELLIGENCE. After that, nothing you write is sent anywhere.
What we hold, and for how long
- Your thoughts, reflections, categories and settings. Stored on your device only. Removed immediately by Delete All Data or by uninstalling.
- The text of a thought you chose to reflect on. Sent to our backend and to OpenAI to produce one response. It is not kept as a lasting record by us, and OpenAI’s API terms mean it is not used to train their models and is retained only briefly for abuse monitoring.
- An anonymous app identifier, usage counts and crash reports. Held by our analytics and crash tools, never linked to your name or email. Ask us to remove it using the email below and we will do so within 30 days.
- Subscription status. Held by Google Play, the App Store and RevenueCat while your subscription is active, and afterwards only as long as tax and accounting law requires.
We never collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos or health data.
Ask us to delete anything else
Email [email protected] with the subject “Delete my data”. Tell us which device you used and roughly when. Because absorvia is anonymous, we may ask for the anonymous identifier shown in Settings under About, so we remove the right records. We respond within 30 days.
