Daily reflection usually means a prompt, a blank box, and the hope that you will write something worth rereading. The app supplies the question. You supply everything else.
absorvia moves the work. You write what is actually on your mind, and the reflection comes back to you.
The problem with prompts
A prompt is a stranger's question about your day. Some days it fits. Most days it asks about gratitude while you are thinking about a conversation that went badly.
Answering a question you did not ask is a small tax. Paid daily, it is why most reflection habits end in the second week.
How a day works in absorvia
You write a thought whenever one arrives, in whatever words it arrives in. Each one receives an Echo, a single line that shows the part you had not quite said.
The Depth surface then holds the day. Today's Pulse is one sentence for yesterday. Active Signals show what keeps returning. Today's Pattern names the thread running through it.
- No prompt to answer and no template to fill.
- No streak, so a missed day costs nothing.
- One line back per thought, not a page of analysis.
What daily turns into
Reflection compounds only if there is something to read across. After roughly two weeks, Undercurrent begins surfacing tensions and shifts that sit under the individual entries.
That is the part a prompt cannot do. It needs a body of your own writing to read.
If you miss days
Nothing breaks. There is no streak to protect and no notification asking where you were. absorvia reads whatever is there when you come back.
Privacy and cost
Your thought library stays on your iPhone. There is no account and no cloud copy. Reflection is off until you turn it on. When it is on, only the thought you choose is sent to the absorvia server and to OpenAI, and that text is not used to train OpenAI's models. You can switch it off any time in Settings.
absorvia is free to start. Capture and organise without paying. Premium unlocks daily depth, deeper pattern surfacing, and Sit With It. It is a monthly or annual subscription. The annual plan begins with a 14-day free trial. Prices are shown in the app and on the App Store page.
Questions
Does absorvia give me daily prompts?
No. You write what is on your mind and absorvia responds to it. There is no prompt to answer.
Do I need to write every day?
No. There are no streaks and no reminders that guilt you. Patterns simply surface faster the more you write.
How long does a daily entry take?
Often under a minute. Most thoughts are a sentence, and the Echo is one line.
