If your mind moves faster than your hands, most capture tools fail at the first step. Too many taps, too many fields, and the thought is gone before the app is open.
absorvia was built for that speed. Open, write, close. One line comes back. Nothing needs filing.
What gets in the way
Structure is the enemy of capture. Folders, tags, templates and prompts each cost a decision, and every decision is a place to stall. Many people with ADHD describe abandoning journaling apps not because they did not want to write, but because the app wanted something first.
The other failure is silence. You write and nothing happens, so writing stops feeling worth it.
How absorvia handles it
Capture is one screen. Write the thought as it is, unfinished if that is how it arrived. absorvia returns one line, the Echo, and you are done. The whole loop fits inside the moment you had.
You never go back to organise. The Depth surface does the noticing: Today's Pulse holds yesterday in one sentence, Active Signals show what keeps returning, and Today's Pattern names the thread.
- No prompts, streaks or reminders that nag.
- No structure to maintain. Write and close.
- Patterns surface over time without you tracking anything.
The pattern layer helps most here
Racing minds produce the same thought in many forms. Undercurrent reads across your captures and shows the recurring tensions, so you can see the shape of the week instead of forty separate fragments.
What absorvia is not
absorvia does not diagnose, treat, or replace clinical care. If you are struggling, talk to a professional you trust.
It is not a task manager or a planner. Nothing here has a due date.
Private by construction
Your thought library stays on your iPhone. There is no account and no cloud copy. Reflection is off until you turn it on. When it is on, only the thought you choose is sent to the absorvia server and to OpenAI, and that text is not used to train OpenAI's models. You can switch it off any time in Settings.
Cost
absorvia is free to start. Capture and organise without paying. Premium unlocks daily depth, deeper pattern surfacing, and Sit With It. It is a monthly or annual subscription. The annual plan begins with a 14-day free trial. Prices are shown in the app and on the App Store page.
Questions
Is absorvia an ADHD app?
It is a thinking system that happens to suit fast-moving minds. Capture is one screen with no structure to maintain. It is not a medical product and does not diagnose or treat anything.
Does it have reminders?
No prompts and no streaks. You write when a thought is circling. The daily Pulse is there when you open the app, not pushed at you.
What if my thoughts are half-sentences?
Write them as they are. absorvia reads the shape of a thought, not its grammar. Fragments are fine.
Can I keep it fully offline?
Your library is on-device and never leaves your phone. Reflection needs a connection when it is turned on, and only the thought you choose is sent.
Try it. Write one thought and see what comes back.
